Billing terms

Thesis-It has one paid plan: Thesis-It Pro at RM39 per month. Each payment buys 30 days of Pro access. Prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Payments are processed by our payment provider, CHIP, and you can pay by FPX online banking, DuitNow QR, or card (Maestro, Mastercard, or Visa).

If your card is issued outside Malaysia, your bank converts RM39 to your own currency at its own rate (and may add a foreign-transaction fee). The RM39 price itself is the same for every renewal until you cancel; any dollar figure shown on the billing page is an estimate, not the charged amount.

• Adopt your university's thesis structure from your own template, guideline or exemplar, and keep it versioned as it changes
• Write every chapter in the editor, with your sources, citations and figures, and bring in chapters you already wrote in Word
• Use the AI drafting and checking steps with AI included in your plan (a fair-use allowance of 2,000,000 tokens a month, about 3,000 pages of text). The text of each AI step is sent to Google's Gemini API on your behalf and is not stored by Thesis-It; only token counts are kept. You may use your own Gemini API key instead (the key is yours and stays on your device), or copy each prompt into a chat you already use and paste the reply back
• Run Examiner Readiness and the consistency checks, and export your thesis as a Word document in your university's format
• Share your thesis with your supervisor for comments and sign-offs, and prepare progress reports, supervisor packs, viva questions and the corrections list
• Sync your thesis to your account and use it on all your devices
• Workshop eligibility - see section 8 (Workshop access)

Reading, exporting, and deleting your thesis is always free - it does not need an active subscription.

Pro access starts when the payment provider confirms your payment - usually within a few minutes of paying. Your access is activated by a verified confirmation from the payment provider, not by returning to the Thesis-It website. Billing is monthly: each RM39 payment adds 30 days of access. If you renew early, the new 30 days are added on top of your current period - paying early never costs you days.

If you pay by card and tick Auto-renew my subscription at checkout, your subscription renews automatically: RM39 is charged to your card near the end of each 30-day period, until you turn auto-renew off. Your card details are held by the payment provider - Thesis-It never sees or stores them.

You can turn auto-renew off at any time on the billing page. Turning it off does not shorten access you have already paid for.

If an automatic charge fails, auto-renew switches off, we email you, and you can renew manually. You are never charged more than RM39 per 30-day period.

FPX and DuitNow QR payments cannot renew automatically - they are one-time payments. If you pay with these methods, you renew by hand each cycle. We send reminder emails before your access ends (and one shortly after), so a renewal is never a surprise.

There is no lock-in and nothing extra to cancel: if auto-renew is off, your subscription simply runs to the end of the paid period and stops. If auto-renew is on, turning it off on the billing page is the only step. Either way, you keep full Pro access until the end of the period you paid for.

After Pro access ends, your account becomes read-only: your thesis stays on your devices and in your account and stays readable, exportable, and deletable, but writing, importing, AI steps and sharing pause until you renew. Nothing you made is ever held back.

Pro subscribers are eligible to join Thesis-It online workshops that run while their access is active. Sessions are scheduled periodically; availability and capacity may vary. Registration instructions are sent by email to eligible users. Certificates depend on attendance and on meeting the stated completion requirements. Workshop access ends when Pro access ends.

If a payment fails or is cancelled, nothing changes on your account and you are not charged. If money left your bank account but your access did not activate, the payment is usually matched to your account automatically within minutes; if it is not, contact support and we will put it right - see the Need help? page.

Refunds are covered by the refund policy. When a refund is granted, Pro access from that payment ends at the time of the refund.

If the price or these terms change, we will email the address on your account before the change takes effect for your future renewals. Periods you have already paid for are never affected by a price change.
